Totem Pole 1

a sculpture by John Exell

This sculpture is made of six 18” x 10.5” x 9” breeze blocks, with a steel pole down the middle. It currently stands in Bexley Mind's back yard. People ask me what the symbolism is. As far as I am aware, there isn't any. It is loosely based on North American Indian wooden totem poles, and other ethnic sculptures, such as Aztec.
